Welcome to Red Class!
The class teachers are Miss Hague and Mrs Wright. Our Nursery Nurse is Mrs Coates and we have two Teaching Assistants, Miss Ferguson and Mrs Reid.
We are based in our spacious and well-resourced Early Years Unit and work alongside Nursery children.
We have just been to Yorkshire Wildlife Park for our school trip and had a FANTASTIC time! We saw lions, giraffes, zebras, polar bears, meerkats, ostriches, a tiger, and more!
World Book Day- March 2018! We could dress up as any character from a book and in school we took part in lots of Alice in Wonderland themed activities. We mixed up with Year 1 and 2 children and enjoyed doing a treasure hunt, different craft activities, and making potions!
Look at what we've been up to in our new 'Vets' area of the classroom. We wanted to learn more about animals and what happens in a Vet's Practice.
The whole school has taken part in a 'Primary Futures' project, focussing on raising aspirations. We have talked lots about different jobs that we would like to do and focussed on challenging gender stereotypes. Here are some of the jobs we'd like to do...
We recently had a skipping workshop in school where we learned new games and songs. We have been practising lots at lunchtimes and are fantastic at skipping now!
We do lots of activities everyday that help our physical development, but we also have a P.E. session once a week. We love getting the apparatus out!
Come and have a look at what we've been up to in our classroom!
Come and have a look at what we've been doing outside!
We were all nature detectives and went to Thornes Park to collect things for our nature area. We found conkers, acorns, pine cones, leaves and more! We loved our first school trip!
