Yellow Class 2019-20
Welcome to Yellow Class' Page! Here is where you will find key information and you will be able to see some of the amazing work we have completed during our year together.
Teachers: Mr Kirby, Mrs Hewitt and Mrs Speight
Homework: Please read at home with your child as often as possible, and learn spellings lists together. Pupils will shortly also be receiving Maths homework in the form of Key Instant Recall Facts. There is additional optional homework online; Bug Club for reading and Education City for Maths. We also have our own profiles on Times Table Rockstars.
Reading: The children need to aim to read at least 3 times a week at home, but more if possible and this to be signed. The children are to place their book in the box to be changed once a new book is need. Pupils who are still on the phonics scheme will receive a general reading book plus a RWI phonics book matched to their phonics level. Please try to read both, and practise them more than once!
PE: PE days are Monday and Friday but we suggest leaving the PE kits in school all week.
Here is our Class Charter - we created a class Kennings Poem to remember all our promises and expectations for Year 2.
