School Meals

Our mission is to feed hungry minds! We create our menus based on the principles of the Soil Association’s Bronze Food for Life Catering Mark. The Food for Life Catering Mark criteria have been developed to reflect best practice in healthy and sustainable school food.

Our food will…

  • Be over 75% freshly prepared
  • Include meat from farms which satisfy UK welfare standards
  • Be made with free range eggs – where eggs are used
  • Include a wide range of seasonal and local/British produce
  • Contain no undesirable food additives or hydrogenated fats
  • Not include any GM ingredients

More than lunch...

As well as great food, we also support schools with:

  • Cookery Sessions
  • Gardening Workshops
  • Nutrition Talks
  • International Food Events
  • Parent Tasting Sessions
  • Food Education Event Day
  • Annual Green Fingers Event
  • Assemblies
  • Farm Visits
  • Themed Menus
  • School Event Support
  • Educational Activities

Paying for lunches

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive a free school meal every day!  This is called Universal Infant Free School Meals.

For children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, the cost is £2.53 a day, £12.65 a week to be paid weekly in advance using Scopay.

If you believe that your child may qualify for free school meals because of low household income, please click the button below (link to council's online application.

Packed Lunches

Packed lunches can be a good option for 'picky eaters'.  If your child brings a packed lunch, the food should follow our packed lunch guidance.
